Scope and contact
This policy explains how Chan Ventures LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information through vincentchan.co, learn.vincentchan.co, our forms, newsletters, workshops, digital resources, and related services. Contact us at [email protected] with privacy questions or requests.
Third-party services have their own policies. This policy describes our use of information; it does not replace a platform's policy when you interact directly with that platform.
Information we receive
Information you provide. Depending on your interaction, we receive names, email addresses, workshop registrations, survey answers, preferences, support messages, testimonials, and purchase information. Financial education surveys and calculators may ask about goals, income, savings, debt, budgets, or investing experience. Answer only the questions requested. Do not submit account passwords or financial account access credentials.
Purchases. Our checkout and payment providers process billing and payment information. We receive information needed to manage your order, access, support, and refunds. Do not send full payment-card details by email. The payment provider, rather than a public website form, should receive card credentials.
Usage information. Hosting, security, analytics, email, video, and form providers may collect IP addresses, device/browser information, page visits, referring links, campaign parameters, interactions, and delivery/open/click information where enabled. Cookies and similar technologies may support these functions. Some technologies operate only on pages where the relevant provider is embedded.
Other sources. We may receive information from platforms through which you register, purchase, contact us, or provide a review, consistent with the choices and permissions available on those platforms.
Preferences and inferences. We may use your survey answers and interactions to infer educational interests, resource preferences, and engagement patterns. These help us organize subscriber records and suggest educational content.
How we use information
We use information to deliver requested resources; register and notify workshop participants; operate newsletters and educational email journeys; personalize resources using survey responses and preferences; process purchases and provide access; respond to support and refund requests; understand and improve our services; prevent misuse and secure our systems; and meet legal, accounting, and recordkeeping obligations.
Our website forms and surveys may pass information between our service providers to perform these functions. For example, a form submission may be stored in Tally or GoHighLevel, processed through Make, and used to update a subscriber record in Kit. Provider choice varies by form and journey.
Providers and disclosures
Providers used across our services include GoHighLevel/LeadConnector (site, checkout, CRM, and forms), Tally (forms and surveys), Kit (subscriber records and email), Make (integration processing), Wistia (video), Senja (testimonials), PostHog (analytics), Cloudflare (infrastructure/security), and the payment provider shown at checkout. Not every provider receives every category of information. We disclose information to providers as needed to operate the relevant service.
We may also disclose information where reasonably needed to comply with law, respond to valid legal requests, protect rights and safety, investigate fraud, or complete a business transfer subject to applicable requirements. Content submitted under an applicable business, educational, and promotional content license may be used publicly within the scope of that license and applicable law. Public posts and authorized testimonials may be publicly visible.
Where you submit content under our applicable Terms and submission notices, our business, educational, and promotional license covers all submitted content, including testimonials, reviews, community posts, support messages, and financial-survey responses. This may involve public use of submitted content, subject to applicable law and the permissions validly obtained.
This permission applies only where valid permission has been obtained; it does not retroactively authorize public use of earlier submissions or override applicable privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or recording-consent requirements. Contact [email protected] to withdraw permission for new promotional uses. Withdrawal does not invalidate earlier lawful uses, and applicable deletion and consent-withdrawal rights remain unaffected.
We do not sell or rent subscriber or customer information, or provide it to partners for their own marketing. We disclose information to service providers as described above to operate our services.
Authorized public content use under the submission license is separate from supplying customer lists to marketing partners.
Email choices
Resource, registration, and purchase messages help fulfill the interaction you requested. Where a signup also includes newsletter or promotional emails, that relationship should be explained at signup. You may unsubscribe from marketing using the link in an email. This does not prevent necessary purchase, access, security, or support messages. Contact us if an unsubscribe or preference change does not work.
Cookies and analytics choices
We use PostHog for website interaction and performance analytics, GoHighLevel for page and attribution events, and Cloudflare for infrastructure, security, and telemetry. Embedded form, email, video, and testimonial providers may also collect technical information as described above. The PostHog project configuration checked during preparation of this policy had session recording disabled.
Browser settings can restrict cookies. Blocking technologies may affect forms, checkout, video, or other features. Email settings may also restrict remote images or tracking. Contact [email protected] about available privacy choices. Browser settings and an email request do not replace any consent or opt-out mechanism required by applicable law.
Retention and security
We retain information for the purposes described above, taking into account the relationship, the type of data, unsubscribe and deletion requests, applicable recordkeeping obligations, disputes, and security needs. A marketing unsubscribe may require retaining a limited suppression record to avoid contacting you again. Purchase records may need to be retained separately from marketing data.
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to our operations. No transmission or storage system is completely secure. Access and deletion must be coordinated across the providers that hold the relevant information; deleting a single form response may not remove the corresponding subscriber or purchase record.
Requests and applicable rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, restrict, or object to processing of personal information, withdraw consent, or opt out of specified uses. Contact [email protected] and describe the request. We may need reasonable information to verify your identity. Applicable exceptions may require retaining certain records. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, subject to appropriate verification. If applicable law provides an appeal right, email us with the subject “Privacy Appeal.” You may also contact your applicable privacy regulator.
You can email us with the subject “Privacy Request,” identify the email address associated with your interaction, and describe what you would like us to do. Do not include account passwords, full payment-card information, or identity documents in the initial email. We will assess the request under applicable law, use proportionate verification where needed, and respond within the applicable deadline. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
International processing and children
Our services are operated from the United States, and information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our providers operate. Where applicable law requires a transfer mechanism or additional notice, we must identify and implement it.
Our services are intended for adults aged 18 or older. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can investigate and address it.
Changes
We will identify the effective date of an updated policy and provide additional notice where required. A policy update does not itself establish consent to a materially different use of information where consent is required.
